Not every bathtub model is right for every room. That's why Duravit offers a wide range of different models in various designs that meet every requirement at the highest level.

Rectangular bathtubs

Our classic rectangular bathtubs will impress you with their simple elegance and modern design. The rectangular outer shape still provides plenty of creative freedom when it comes to the inside of the tub, which can also be oval or curved.

Corner bathtubs

When we say corner bathtub we mean every bathtub that can be installed in a corner: either because of the exterior panels or because the basic shape is only suitable for corners. Corner baths fit harmoniously into small or angled bathrooms, for example, and make ideal use of the space. Depending on the edge of the tub in question, corners also make a great place for a bathtub shelf for your bathtub decor and toiletries. Large corner bathtubs are just as comfortable as trapezoid corner bathtubs and are ideal as bathtubs for two people. In contrast, bathtubs with an integrated panel, such as some of our Luv series bathtubs, carry the design concept of a freestanding bathtub over to smaller bathrooms in a way that saves on space.

A back-to-wall bathtub is installed with one side against the wall while the other three sides are open. For this reason, they are also sometimes called semi-freestanding bathtubs. However, they often have an advantage over completely freestanding bathtubs in that they take up less space since they are installed directly against the wall and a wall faucet can also be used.

The Right Size for Your Bathtub

Choosing the right bathtub size depends not only on the space available, but also on the height and shoulder width of the people who will be using it. The way you plan to use your bathtub also plays an important role in the decision as to whether a small bathtub or a large bathtub is the optimal solution for you.

Three criteria to help you choose:

1. Length:

A guideline for bathtub length is that you should be able to immerse yourself in the water up to your neck and be able to stretch your legs out as far as possible in order to have a comfortable sitting position.

2. Width:

The bathtubs width should be at least 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm) wider than your shoulder width so your shoulders will be comfortable.

3. Comfort:

In a multi-person household, everyone should be comfortable in the bathtub. That is why it usually makes sense to start with the tallest person when buying one. The angle of the backrest, for example, is also critical for your comfort when sitting or lying down.
